Komodo Island Boat Tour

4 days boat trip through the Komodo Islands

Bali is a nice place to go party or chill in fairly cheap beach clubs but I personally think that since it is really tourist orientated it is not the best place to go in Indonesia for nature.

If you want to experience less traffic, culture and more nature I would recommend visiting Lombok for a few days and then start the 4-day boat tour to flores from there.

There are quite a lot of different companies you can choose from but in the end, you can separate them in two categories. Backpacker boats and more luxury boats.

The backpacker boat companies a lot of people recommended to me:

• Wanua adventure

• Karim the explorer (can be booked over Instagram)

The backpacker boats are really basic (especially if you book deck class) but there will be only young people and there is normally a really good vibe on the boat. The toilets on some boats are a bit rough!

I would also look out which boat departs on which date since you each company has a few boats and some of them are nicer than others!

Wanua Adventure

Luxury boat company I booked:

• Komodo Phinsi Cruise

If you are a bit older or just need a bit more luxury this is the company for you. Just be aware that there might be older people on the boat which means it is less likely to have a party vibe in the evening.

Phinsi Cruise

Backpacker boat or Luxury boat they normally all follow the same route.

One thing to watch out for is that:

•  The boats starting in Flores and going to Lombok are normally stopping to see the manta rays

• The boats starting in Lombok and going to Flores are normally stopping to see the whale sharks

Itinerary

LOMBOK to LABUAN BAJO (FLORES) via KOMODO 4Days/3Nights

Day 1: 

START MEETING POINT (Close to Bangsal Harbour, NORTH LOMBOK) – LABUHAN LOMBOK – KENAWA ISLAND

• Optional: you can hike the mountain on Kenawa island for a breathtaking viewSailing during night to Saleh Bay

Day 2:

 WHALE SHARK POINT

Day 3: 

KOMODO ISLAND – LONG PINK BEACH – PADAR ISLAND

• Komodo Island, Visiting the Komodo Island to Hunting Komodo by Camera,– Long Pink Beach, for relaxing, snorkelling or play some beach games.– At Padar Island we will hike to watch the marvellous views.

 Day 4: 

MENJERITE POINT – KELOR ISLAND – LABUAN BAJO (FLORES)

• Menjerite Point, for snorkelling activity 

• Kelor Island, for relaxing, snorkelling or play some beach games.– We will finish the tour around 03.00 – 5:00 PM, depending on the weather conditions.

• Pick up Service from Mataram city, Senggigi and Bangsal Harbour Area. and if you stay in gili island, you can confirm to us about pick up service in Bangsal harbour, we can wait your first boat at the morning.
