Which Gili Island is the right one for you?

What are the differences and which one is the right island for you?

There are no cars on any of the Gili island so a backpack is a better decision when visiting the Gili islands. They do have horses which are carrying the luggage from the tourists but they are not treated the best so I would recommend brining luggage you can carry yourself

1. Gili Trawangan

Gili T is a party island I would only recommend it if you want to party in the evening or are not botherd if the people in the hostels will go out a lot.

Therefore it has a lot of restaurants and places to go out in the evening

East side: is where the turtles are known to hang out

North side: good for snorkelling

Western side: is quieter and more luxury + a good sunset spot

2. Gili Meno

This Island is quite remote and therefore perfect for couples and people who just want to relax. It is really good for snorkeling but you will be very limited if it comes to restaurants and places to go out.

I think it only has one hostel which has a really good vibes

1. Gili Air

Gili air doesn't have a lot of accommodations to choose from (the accommodations on this island are more budget friendly than luxury)

The beaches are similar to Gili T even cleaner (Gilli T is just bigger)

North of the island: beautiful beaches and nice bars.

West of the island: is quieter and good to relax

Southwest of the island: Good restaurants and a good spot for the sunset

--> In short go to Gili T if you want it a bit more lifely, nightlife and more restaurants to choose from. If you want to relax and have more of a quieter time go to Gili Air or Gili Meno
